You CAN re-equip the Pipboy via console when you need it again with: Then select the Pipboy, remove it, go up or down to the item hitting the button as many times as you counted and remove/wear it. Before you remove your Pipboy you need to select it and count how many times you need to press the buttons to select the clothing you want to remove/wear. you will need to use your keyboard’s cursor keys or use your gamepad accordingly. When you remove it and you take off and then wear your clothes again they will be identical to what NPCs wear. The clothes your PC wears always conform to your Pipboy. I tried to make the Pipboy an item that you can equip and remove via hotkey, but while FO4 let’s you add apparel to the favourite menu it won’t let you wear or remove it.
Note that when you remove it you will no longer see the Pipboy-UI but it’s still functional. You tell me! XD You will see it in your inventory’s “apparel” category. Why would you want to do that? I don’t know.
